    大学生思想道德素质是大学生素质的灵魂与核心。本文参考思想政治教育史的历史分期，以历史事实为根据，对不同时期大学生思想道德素质的特点进行归纳概述，勾勒大学生思想道德素质发展轨迹，展示新中国60年岁月在大学生思想道德素质发展中打下的深刻印记；分析大学生思想道德素质的变化发展过程中，经济基础的决定作用，思想政治教育工作的主导作用，以及传统文化和外来文化的渗透作用。

英文摘要：
    The spirit and core of college student quality is the quality of ideology and morality, of which, this article, and based on historical facts generalizes the features of various periods, outlines the development trail, presents marks on New Chinas college student ideological moral development of the 60 years, and analyses the decisive role of economic base, the leading role of ideology politics education, and the infiltrating role of traditional as well as alien cultures in the process of change and development, in the light of historical division of ideological political education history.
