    薛能是晚唐著名诗人，作为剑南西川节度使李福的副将，他曾于唐懿宗咸通五年春夏之交入蜀，七年四月后为嘉州刺史，于咸通八年五六月之交的夏日返回长安，其入蜀和出蜀路线基本相同。薛能前后事蜀三年，在蜀中写了不少的诗歌。

英文摘要：
    Xue Neng, wellknown poet of the late Tang Dynasty, comes to Sichuan as Jiannan Xichuan Officer Li Fus deputy officer in Xiantong 5th Year, later as Jiazhou Cishi in Xiantong 7th Year, and returns to Changan in the summer of Xiantong 8th Year, following the same route as he comes. Xue stays in Sichuan for 3 years, during which he writes many poems.
