    《八月之光》是福克纳的重要代表作之一，但是人们远未读懂它。从后现代主义的视角探讨福克纳独树一帜的语言技巧和语言艺术，分析福克纳在这部小说中对克里斯默斯和莉娜两位主人公的生动刻画，可以看出福克纳在探讨人物身份和人物描写上的巧夺天工，以及福克纳使用语言来探索人物的潜意识活动，进而表达的深刻而丰富的思想内容。

英文摘要：
    Light in August is one of Faulkners important representative works, but it is also a novel which cannot be understood completely by people. From postmodern perspective this article analyzes excelling nature in characters description and an unique style in language description in this novel, and it also analyzes the profound and rich ideological contents which the novel expresses.
